Layer Control Panel

This is a sample of multiple layers picture.

There are three layers. The bottom one is the background image (A pig is running). The second one is a black image with opacity of 47%. The top one is the text layer.

On Layer control panel, there are some functions to help manager and control the layers.

Opacity: This control display and control the current layer opacity.

Layer Row: The first icon in Layer Row is to control whether this layer will be displayed or not. The second icon indicates the layer is active, linked with active layer, or neither. The linked layers move with active layer. Next is a small thumbnail of the layer followed by its name and opacity. Double click layer name to change the name for this layer.

New Layer Button: Create new an image layer.

Convert To Image Layer Button: This is for converting a non-image layer (Text layer) to an image layer. After the convert, you can only edit it as an image layer.

Merge All Layer Button: This is for merging all layers to one single layer.

Merge Down button: This is for merging active layer with the layer under the active layer.

Delete Layer: To delete active layer.
